Orthodox Bible — መጽሐፍ ቅዱስ
Privacy policy
Effective and last updated 24 October 2026. This policy applies to the Orthodox Bible Android app published by Qene Labs.
In short
Orthodox Bible does not require an account and does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. The app has no analytics, tracking technologies, or cloud sync. Scripture content is bundled with the app and can be read offline.
Information stored on your device
The app stores reading progress, bookmarked verses, onboarding status, language, theme, text size, and notification preferences locally on your device. These settings make the reading experience work and are not sent to Qene Labs.
Local app data remains until you clear the app’s storage or uninstall it. Android may include app preferences in a device backup according to your device and account settings. Qene Labs does not receive or control that backup.
Notifications and permissions
On supported Android versions, the app may request notification permission for reading reminders and the daily verse option. You can deny the request or change notification access at any time in Android settings. The app does not use this permission to collect personal data.
Advertising, third parties, and security
The current release contains no advertising or analytics SDK and does not transmit app information to Qene Labs or another company. Local information is protected by Android’s application sandbox and your device’s security controls. If advertising or another third-party service is introduced later, this policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration will be updated before that change is released.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Your privacy rights
Privacy laws may provide rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal data, and to opt out of its sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling. Orthodox Bible does not collect or hold personal data, so Qene Labs has no app data on which to perform these requests. You can remove locally stored app data through Android settings or by uninstalling the app. Qene Labs will not discriminate against anyone for making a privacy inquiry.
Changes
If the app’s data practices change, Qene Labs will update this policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration before the new practice begins. The effective date above will also change.
